We enjoyed staying at the Blue Tang Inn mainly because of the easy access to many restaurants and shops. Having a grocery store close by made it easy to get our supplies. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooftop area was great for watching sunsets. The continental breakfasts were adequate but the fruit selection was minimal and went fast (except the watermelon). We would stay there again. There are no scheduled trips but they will schedule them for you if you ask.
Note: the office is closed from noon to 1PM and after 5PM.

Blue Tang Inn is, in our opinion, the perfect place to stay. We loved the location right on the beach and the closeness to grocery stores and restaurants. The room had every convenience we needed and wanted. There was ample storage and the ceiling was an absolute marvel. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean and roomy. Even better was the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. They all seemed to really care about the people and each other. It was like we were being included in a family. Fanny and Allan were so gracious. No request went unheeded-from taxi arrangements to airline reservations. They set up our day trips which were always delightful. Our snorkeling trip on the Sirena Azul was poetry on the sea. We have recommended Blue Tang Inn to friends who are planning trips to the area. Thank you for all you did.

We are going to Ambergris for the second time and will again stay at the Blue Tang. Our first experience was one I will never forget and while there were a few things that I would have changed, I am opting to stay here again because the location is fantastic, the staff was very helpful, the rooms were nice, the views were great, and what else is there to say, a close walk to anywhere you want to go, restaurants and bars around the corner, give me a break, you are on an island with sand roads, what are you expecting the Ritz?????????????

Sandy you must be related to the owner....this place is a joke......unfortunately the joke was on me cause I had to stay at the Blue Tang.

I can not believe the two previous remarks!! The Blue Tang was amazing! The staff were great and although the rooms were slightly outdated, they were clean and spacious. I will be back and stay again and again at the Blue Tang!!

This place was a joke, they obviously write their own reviews on trip advisor.

I Hated this place....will not go back to this Hotel, but loved San Pedro!
